New Zealand squad announced in a unique way

New Zealand Cricket announced the squad for the Cricket World Cup on Sunday night in a unique way.

A video of the squad’s family members was released on micro-blogging website X by New Zealand.

Kiwi cricketers’ wives, children, fiancees and grandmothers named the players along with their shirt numbers.

This unique and unique idea is being praised on social media.

New Zealand’s 15-man squad will be led by veteran Kane Williamson while Tom Latham will be the vice-captain of the Kiwi team at the World Cup.

Senior player Tim Southee has been selected for the World Cup squad for the fourth time, while Trent Boult and Matt Henry will play in the World Cup for the third time.

Lockie Ferguson, Jimmy Neesham, Mitchell Santner and Ash Sodhi are also part of the World Cup squad.

Daryl Mitchell, Mark Chapman, Dion Conway and Glenn Phillips will play in the ODI World Cup for the first time in the announced squad.

New Zealand’s Richan Rondra and Will Young have also been included in the squad, both of whom have been selected for the first World Cup in any format.
