In the Asia Cup Super Four stage match, India defeated Pakistan by a huge margin of 228 runs and achieved the biggest victory against Pakistan in the history of ODI cricket.
In the two-day one-day match at the Prema Dasa Stadium in Colombo, in response to India’s 356 runs, Pakistan batted for 128 runs and thus India won the match by a huge margin of 228 runs.
This is India’s biggest victory in ODI cricket against Pakistan.
Earlier, India defeated Pakistan by 140 runs in 2009 while in the Champions Trophy match in Birmingham, India defeated Pakistan by 124 runs.
On the other hand, the 228-run defeat is Pakistan’s second worst defeat by any team in ODI cricket. Pakistan’s worst defeat was by 234 runs against Sri Lanka in 2009.
In the history of cricket, Pakistan team has lost by a margin of more than 200 runs only for the third time. In 2002, Australia defeated Pakistan by 224 runs in Nairobi.
