South Africa Women defeated Pakistan Women by 6 wickets

South Africa Women’s Cricket Team won the second ODI by 6 wickets and took a decisive lead in the series by 0-2. The third and final ODI of the series will be played on Thursday.

In the second ODI played at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi, Pakistan Women’s team won the toss and batted first and the entire team was bowled out for 168 runs in 44.2 overs.

Pakistan Women’s team got off to a very disappointing start, with the hosts losing 6 wickets for 49 runs.

However, Alia Riaz and Fatima Sana added a valuable seventh wicket partnership of 114 runs which is the record seventh wicket partnership by Pakistan Women in ODIs.

Alia Riaz scored 53 runs with the help of 3 fours. Fatima Sana played an innings of 69 runs off 87 balls and the Pakistan team got out by scoring 168 runs.

South African fast-medium bowler Nedien de Klerk dismissed 4 and Mazabatta Claus dismissed 3 players.

In response, the South African women’s team completed the required score in 34 overs for the loss of 4 wickets.

In the innings of the visiting team, Tezman Burts remained the top scorer by scoring 45 runs with the help of 4 fours and a six. Lara Goodall scored 36 runs.
