Punjab Health Secretary Ali Jan Khan says that in the last 24 hours, 82 new dengue virus patients have been confirmed in the province.
He said that 1709 confirmed cases of dengue have been reported across the province so far this year, of which 681 are from Lahore alone.
Ali Jan Khan says that 44 new cases of dengue were reported in Lahore yesterday, 20 in Rawalpindi, 5 in Multan, 4 in Faisalabad and 3 in Kasur while dengue cases were reported in Gujranwala, Nankana, Bahawalpur, Chakwal, Jhang and Chiniot. One by one a new patient appeared.
He says that at present, a total of 93 patients are under treatment across the province, including a total of 52 dengue patients under treatment in Lahore hospitals, out of which the condition of 4 is critical.
