The letter stated that the Met Office report was presented in the meeting, according to which there were rains in Colombo and Pali Kele while there were no rains in Hambantota.

According to the text of the letter, the PCB was told in the meeting that the venue of Hambantota has been proposed in emergency, which is the most suitable place to hold the matches.

The letter stated that after the meeting, there was an email exchange between Asian Cricket Council General Manager (GM) Operations Thusit Perera and PCB at 9:11 pm.

According to the PCB letter, at 10:12 AM on September 5, it was informed through email that the matches in Sri Lanka will be played at Hambantota.

According to the letter, at the end of the India-Nepal match in Kandy, PCB and Sri Lankan cricket representatives also met, both boards started logistical arrangements and the head curator was also sent to Hambantota.

The letter stated that on September 5, the production staff and kits also left for Hambantota, receiving an email from ACC at 10:39 that morning.

According to the letter, the ECC’s email asked to move the matches to Hambantota and to issue a press release soon, 27 minutes later the ACC’s last email to the PCB is said to be ignored.
