Pakistan Women’s team defeated South African Women’s team in the second T20 match of the series.
In this match played at the National Stadium Cricket Arena in Karachi, the national team achieved the target of 152 runs given by the South African Women with only 3 wickets.
The visiting team scored 150 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Tazmin Bruts scored 46 runs and captain Laura Woolwardt scored 41 runs.
Apart from this, Marizanne Cap played an innings of 26 runs and Nadine de Klerk remained unbeaten with 21 runs.
For Pakistan, Sadia Iqbal and Nashera Sindhu took one wicket each.
The national women’s team easily achieved the target in the last over.
Sidra Amin played an innings of 61 runs, Bisma Maruf scored 27 runs and Shahwal Zulfikar scored 4 runs.
However, Alia Riaz along with Muniba Ali on the fourth wicket played a major role in the team’s victory by showing a smoky batting performance. Alia played an unbeaten innings of 31 runs off 18 balls while Mavena played an unbeaten innings of 26 runs off 15 balls.
Sidra Amin was adjudged the player of the match for his excellent batting performance.
In the series of three T20 matches, Pakistan Women got a decisive lead of 0-2.
