The inquest into the death of Porter Hassan during the K2 adventure is complete

During the adventure on K2, when porter Muhammad Hassan was taking his last breath at the height of Bottleneck, several climbers passed over his dying body to climb the mountain. After the video went viral, an investigation into the incident was started.

Muhammad Hassan, a porter from Tasar village in Shagar district, died in an accident during his adventure to the second highest peak in the world.

The fact-finding committee sent the report to the provincial government, the report did not even mention the Norwegian woman climber, who was accused of going to the summit instead of helping the dying porter.

According to the report, prolonged exposure to extreme cold, inadequate uniforms and a blizzard contributed to Porter’s death. Mr. Gabriel Tarso, a foreign mountaineer, tried his best to save the porter Muhammad Hassan.

The report recommended giving a certificate of appreciation to Gabriel Tarso, amending the mountaineering rules and regulations and banning the tour operator for not including the dead porter’s name in the insurance list.

On July 27, Porter Mohammad Hassan died at the Bottleneck during his Tow adventure.

It should be noted that the video of the climbers leaving Muhammad Hassan hanging from the mountain in an injured state went viral, after which he faced severe criticism.

Drone footage of the incident showed that only one person tried to save Muhammad Hassan, but everyone, including Christine, the world’s fastest climber, abandoned him and moved on.
