Former Pakistani cricketer Khalid Latif is facing trial for inciting the murder of the accused Geert Wilders.
According to international media reports, Khalid Latif is being tried for inciting the murder of the infamous Geert Wilders and prosecutors have demanded a 12-year prison sentence.
According to the report, prosecutors say that Khalid Latif shared a video on social media in 2018, in which he offered a reward of around 21,000 euros for killing Geert Wilders.
The video came to light after Geert Wilders announced his intention to hold a raunchy sketch competition.
In this regard, no temporary action of former cricketer Khalid Latif has come out yet.
The 59-year-old cursed Geert Wilders is one of Europe’s far-right leaders.
In his statement, Geert Wilders directly addressed Khalid Latif saying that ‘I cannot be intimidated’.
He stated in the court that ‘your inciting others to kill me by announcing the reward money is a despicable act and I will not remain silent on this act’.
According to the report, the court will pronounce the verdict on the case on September 11.
