Wildlife officials raid Tik Tokkar's home, take African lion in custody

Lahore: Punjab wildlife authorities raided the residence of the famous Tik Tokker and took the African tiger into custody and transferred it to the wildlife park.

According to the details, the Punjab Wildlife officials raided the residence of the well-known tic-taker Khurram Gujjar in Lahore and recovered the African lion, which has been shifted to the Wildlife Park Jallo.

Famous Tik Toker Khurram Gujjar had shared videos with an African lion on social media. The police also raided the residence of Tucker Tucker and recovered the weapon while Punjab Wildlife has taken the African lion in delivery.

According to the wildlife officials, if Tik Tokar has a license to keep the tiger and the proof of purchase is found, then the tiger will be returned according to the law. However, temporarily, the African lion has been shifted to Wildlife Park Jalu.

This is the second police action this month, during which action has been taken against those who make videos with dangerous wild animals. Earlier, on August 12, the police and wildlife team recovered a tiger from the house of Mian Saqib in Wapda Town, Lahore, which was shifted to Wildlife Park Jallum.

According to the Punjab Wildlife Act, lions and tigers are allowed to be kept in farm houses/breeding houses and zoos, for which import permit, license from Punjab Wildlife and proof of purchase of the animal is required.

Apart from this, Punjab Wildlife has also fixed the size of the cages to keep these animals. Keeping such dangerous animals in the civilian population is not allowed.

The Punjab Police has recently set up a Police Animal Rescue Center which has been empowered to take action against those who keep wild animals in urban areas and are cruel to common animals. According to police officials, the civil administration has the authority to take action against such persons.
