Pakistan U-16 football team missed out on participation in the South Asian Football Federation (SAF) Championship.
Chairman Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Normalization Committee (NC) Haroon Malik has said that they are withdrawing from the important event due to non-receipt of No Objection Certificate (NOC).
He said that it is a pity that the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) could not get the NOC on time.
It should be noted that the Pakistan U-16 team was supposed to leave today for the U-16 Championship in Bhutan.
Haroon Malik said that the U-16 team was very strong, but unfortunately they could not go to the event.
He said that it is hoped that under-23, under-19 and national teams will get NOCs. Every team of Pakistan will be in action in September.
Chairman PFFN Sey said that the U-23 team has to leave for Bahrain on Monday for Olympic qualifiers. We hope that the NOC of the U-23 team will be received in time.
Haroon Malik also said that the U-19 team also has to play the SAFF Championship in September while the women’s team has to go to Saudi Arabia.
