National cricketer Umar Akmal has praised his wife for not leaving him in bad times.
Recently, cricketer Umar Akmal appeared as a guest on a private TV talk show, during which he answered several interesting questions and also reminisced about his bad days.
Umar Akmal, who played 6 World Cups for Pakistan, spoke about the betting allegations against him and his subsequent involvement in 2 Pakistan and 1 overseas case.
He said that Jo Kamiya had filed lawsuits to prove the allegations against him were false. He remembers that once his daughter asked him to eat her favorite food from outside but he refused. There was no money.
Umar Akmal further said that he did not send his daughter to school for 8 months because he did not have money to pay the fees.
Remembering the bad days, Umar Akmal became overwhelmed, he wiped his tears and said that everyone had left him during the bad times, only one was his wife who did not let him fall and kept him strong.
The cricketer said that his wife said that I will not leave you no matter what happens, I will also live in a rented house.
Umar Akmal also told about his improvement in the show.
Answering a question during a talk show on private TV, Umar Akmal said that the captain of the national team is never made on relationships but on performance.
He praised the skills and performances of his cousin, national team captain Babar Azam and said that Babar Azam himself was approached by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to make him the captain.
During the show, Umar Akmal further said that he had received many betting offers in the past, he used to inform PCB and ICC about each offer.
