Pakistan had started relief activities with the earthquake in Turkey, on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, an emergency strategy for the delivery of relief goods was made.
The federal government has issued a statement regarding the assistance to the earthquake victims in Turkey, in which it was stated that on the afternoon of February 7, a Pakistan Air Force plane carrying a 33-member rescue team arrived in Adana, Turkey from Noor Khan Airbase.
According to the statement, the rescue team was equipped with equipment to search and trace the people buried under the debris.
According to the statement, detection dogs were also sent along with the highly trained team, which was deployed in Adiman, Turkey.
It was stated in the announcement that on February 7, the C-130 aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force left for Adana with 10 tons of cargo at 12 noon.
The statement further said that 15 tons of relief goods were sent to Istanbul on February 8 at 9 am by PIA flight from Islamabad.
The statement also said that on February 9 and 10, PIA flights from Islamabad carried 7 tons and 12.2 tons of cargo respectively to Istanbul.
On the other hand, on February 10, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sent 100 tons of relief goods from Lahore to Turkey.
According to the statement, on February 10, 20 tons of relief goods were sent to Turkey by PI flight and 20 tons by Pakistan Air Force aircraft from Lahore Airport.
On February 10, 16 and a half tons of relief goods were sent to Turkey by PIA flight from Islamabad.
