In progress on the issue of non-availability of essential medicines in the country, a summary of price hike of 200 medicines was sent to the government.
The Drug Regulatory Authority says that registration of unavailable drugs will be done on priority basis and a summary of the price hike of 200 drugs has been sent to the government.
According to health experts, there is currently a shortage of many essential and life-saving medicines across the country, including dyes used in angiography and many essential medicines for the treatment of the brain and nervous system.
Health experts say that due to non-availability of genuine medicines, fake and smuggled medicines are being supplied.
