The second day of the second Test match being played in Colombo has started.
Pakistan leveled Sri Lanka’s first innings score, with the national team scoring 166 runs for the loss of 2 wickets.
Abdullah Shafiq started the second day’s play with 74 and captain Babar Azam with 8 runs.
Pakistan had scored 145 runs for 2 wickets by the end of the first day’s play with 21 runs remaining to end the home team’s lead.
Shaan Masood returned to the pavilion after scoring 51 runs while Imam-ul-Haq stayed for just 6 runs, Asitha Fernando dismissed both the players.
The Sri Lankan team was bowled out for 166 runs in the first innings.
Dhananjaya de Silva scored 57 and Dinesh Chandimal scored 34 runs for the home team.
On behalf of Pakistan, Abrar Ahmed dismissed 4 players and Naseem Shah dismissed 3 players while one wicket went to Shaheen Shah Afridi and two Sri Lankan players were run out.
Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first in the second Test match against Pakistan.
It should be noted that Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 4 wickets in the first test match.
