The National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting has approved the PEMRA Amendment Bill 2023, Federal Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb says the amendment bill has been prepared after consultation with all stakeholders.
He said that the views of CPNE, AMAND, PBA, PFUJ and APNS Joint Action Committee have been incorporated in the bill.
Maryam Aurangzeb said that the main objective is to enable independent, responsible media.
