The Rawalpindi Bench of the Lahore High Court ordered the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to notify the Board of Governors within 15 days.
In the court decision, after notifying the Board of Governors, it was ordered to conduct the election of the Chairman PCB within 7 days.
Justice Shahid Jameel Khan of Lahore High Court issued the decision and said that the Management Committee should issue the notification of the Board of Governors within 15 days and conduct the election of the Chairman Board.
The court verdict further said that political interference has seriously damaged the sports structure in the country.
The petition against PCB Board of Governors was filed by President Rawalpindi Cricket Association. Naveed Abbasi appeared in the court along with his lawyer Advocate Saeed Yusuf Khan.
In the petition, the position was taken that the top 4 teams of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy are included in the Board of Governors.
PCB’s lawyer Imtiaz Ali Siddiqui also appeared in the court.
The court judgment said that the present management is competent to run PCB affairs and complete the task.
