Pakistan Shaheens reached the final of the Emerging Asia Cup

Pakistan Shaheens defeated Sri Lanka A by 60 runs in the semi-final of the Emerging Asia Cup to reach the final.

In Sunday’s final, Pakistan Shaheens will face the winner of the second semi-final between India A and Bangladesh A.

Pakistan Shaheens won the toss and batted first in the first semi-final at P Sara Oval on Friday and were bowled out for 322 in 50 overs, with Umeer bin Yousuf’s 88 and captain Mohammad Haris’ 52 being the highlights.

In reply, Sri Lanka A team was bowled out for 262 runs, Arshad Iqbal took 5 wickets for 37 runs.

Saeem Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan opened the innings for Pakistan Shaheens, both of whom were dismissed with 22 and 12 runs respectively.

Umeer bin Yousaf played responsibly and scored 88 runs off 79 balls, which included 1 six and 10 fours.

The 73-run partnership between captain Muhammad Haris and Mubaser Khan for the sixth wicket proved useful for the team.

Mohammad Haris scored 52 runs off 43 balls, his innings included 5 fours.

Mubaser Khan scored 42 runs with the help of 2 sixes and 2 fours while Mohammad Wasim Jr played an innings of 24 runs with the help of 2 sixes and 1 four.

For Sri Lanka A, Lahiru Samarakun and Chamika Karunaratne took 2 wickets each.

Sri Lanka A were 3 wickets down for 33 runs, at which stage openers Oshka Fernando and Sahan Arachige added 124 runs for the fourth wicket partnership.

Oshka Fernando scored 97 runs with the help of 12 fours and 2 sixes and was stumped by Haris off the ball of Sufyan Moqim.

Sahan Arachige also failed to score his first century in List A ODI matches by only 3 runs and scored 97 runs with the help of 12 fours and 1 six and was bowled by Mubaser Khan.

For Pakistan Shaheens, Arshad Iqbal took 5 wickets along with Mubaser Khan and Sufian Muqim took 2 and 2 wickets respectively.
