Pakistan’s top javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem will participate in the World Championship. The World Athletics Championships will be held in Hungary from August 19 to 27.
Arshad Nadeem is the only player from Pakistan to qualify for the event. Athletics Federation of Pakistan Secretary Muhammad Tafar confirmed Arshad’s participation.
Mohammad Zafar said that Arshad Nadeem has got fit and is training for the event. It should be noted that Arshad Nadeem could not participate in the Asian Championship recently due to injury.
The first round of javelin throw at the World Athletics in Hungary will be held on August 25 and the final on August 27.
Athletics Federation is hoping for good results from Arshad Nadeem in the championship.
Arshad Nadeem is on the fifth position in the javelin throw world ranking.
The Pakistani thrower won gold medals at the Commonwealth Games and the Islamic Games last year.
Arshad finished fifth in the World Athletics Championship held last year.
