The International Cricket Council released a promotional video for the World Cup in October, but it did not feature ICC number one batsman Babar Azam.
A 2 minute 12 second video of the World Cup promo has been released by ICC.
The video shows the ups and downs of cricket while mostly showing the disappointment of the Pakistan team currently ranked No. 2 in the ICC ODI Rankings.
The video includes Shadab Khan being hit for a six, Mohammad Amir getting bowled, Wahab Riaz getting frustrated after being shot and Inzamam-ul-Haq being run out in 1992.
In one scene, a Pakistani fan is shown sitting in despair while an Indian fan is shown consoling him.
The video shows only one good moment from Pakistan where Shaheen celebrates by taking the wicket.
The most surprising thing is that Brajman, the ICC’s No. 1 ODI batsman for almost 2 years, and the 2021 and 2022 ICC ODI Batter of the Year Babar Azam was not included in the video.
ICC is facing severe criticism over this video on social media. Cricket fans have questioned the ICC as to how it could ignore Babar Azam.
Social media users say that the video shows a lot of bias.
It should be noted that this time the World Cup is scheduled in October in India.
