Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee Chairman Zaka Ashraf officially announced the schedule of Asia Cup 2023 hosted by Pakistan.
According to PCB, the opening match between Pakistan and Nepal will be played on August 30 in Multan.
Pakistan will host 4 matches including a Super Four stage match. 3 matches will be played in Multan and one in Lahore.
According to PCB, Sri Lanka will host 9 matches out of which 3 matches will be played in Kandy and 6 matches will be played in Colombo.
The Asia Cup match between Pakistan and India will be played on September 2 in Kandy, Sri Lanka. The final of the event will be held on September 17 in Colombo.
The Asia Cup ODI tournament schedule announcement ceremony was held in Lahore, in which Chairman PCB Management Committee Zaka Ashraf, former captain Waqar Younis, Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz and other personalities participated.
On this occasion, Chairman PCB Management Committee Zaka Ashraf said that it is good to have an international tournament in Pakistan after 15 years.
Asia Cup 2023 trophy was also unveiled in the ceremony.
In the event, Pakistan and India will meet in Kandy on September 2. If Pakistan and India reach the Super Four, there will be another match and if both teams reach the final, they will meet three times in this event.
The event will begin on August 30, with the opening match between hosts Pakistan and Nepal in Multan.
