Left-arm fast bowler Mir Hamza, who played 3 Test matches for Pakistan, has arrived in England to play English county cricket, where he will play the first match against Lancashire at the Edgbaston ground in Birmingham.
The fast bowler, who has taken 379 wickets at an average of 22.40 in 95 first-class matches, says he is excited to play county cricket in England again.
Mir Hamza was initially signed by Warwickshire County for 3 matches. However, due to delayed visa, now they will get to play 2 matches.
Mir Hamza will play the second match against Middlesex. This is the left-arm fast bowler’s second English season. Earlier in 2019, he took 24 wickets in 7 matches for Sussex.
Apart from Mir Hamza who plays for Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League, Warwickshire County have also signed Test all-rounder Hasan Ali on a short-term deal.
Hasan Ali is on a tour of Sri Lanka with the Pakistan team these days, Mir Hamza is keen to bowl well and brilliantly for Warwickshire in both the matches.
