In the application filed by the student resident of Punjab University hostel in police station Muslim Town, it is said that the student took an auto rickshaw from Punjab University (IBA) stop to go to Dharmapura, the rickshaw driver used his mobile phone while driving the rickshaw. But started watching obscene video in loud voice and did not stop the video despite being forbidden.
At the same time, the 25-year-old rickshaw driver stopped the rickshaw on the pretext of a fault with the campus bridge underpass, and on the pretext of fixing it, he pulled the veil of the student sitting on the back seat and tried to handcuff him, but when the student shouted, people gathered. And the rickshaw driver escaped.
While talking to Express, the victim student said that she had applied to the police against the incident, but despite the passage of a week, even an FIR could not be registered. He said that the behavior of the police towards him was inappropriate.
He said that it is unfortunate that no one takes notice of such incidents, he took courage and filed an application against the accused, but despite this no action was taken, how many women face such situations every day. Our institutions spring into action when an accident occurs.
