Big score for West Indies, first Test draw after Zimbabwe fight back

After West Indies’ big score, the first Test match was drawn due to Zimbabwe’s strong fight back.

Chasing a target of 272 runs, the Zimbabwean team scored 134 runs for 6 wickets on the last day of the first Test match of the series played in Bulawayo.

West Indies declared the first innings 447 runs with 6 out.

In reply, Zimbabwe declared their first innings at 379 runs for 9 out and tried to make the match fruitful.

West Indies adopted a defensive strategy and declared the innings on 203 runs with 5 out a few minutes before the tea break.

During the last session, the Zimbabwean batsmen faced the West Indian bowling line and scored 134 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

The second match of the series will be played in Bulawayo from February 12.
