Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir met Iran’s Armed Forces Chief General Mohammad Baqeri in Tehran.
According to the Iranian embassy, mutual interest between the two countries and Pakistan-Iran defense cooperation issues were discussed in the meeting.
Earlier, according to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army, ISPR, the Army Chief will hold meetings with the Iranian military and civil leadership.
Defense and security cooperation issues will be discussed in the meetings, ISPR said.
