Pakistan’s Shajar Abbas qualified for the semi-finals in the 200m race of the Asian Athletics Championship.
In the 200m race of the ongoing Asian Athletics Championship in Bangkok, Shajar Abbas secured the second position in the fifth heat of 200m.
Shajar Abbas completed the 200m race in 21.06 seconds, he finished seventh out of 36 runners, his semi-final race will be held this evening.
Pakistan’s own Abdul Moeed Baloch failed to qualify for the semi-finals in the 200m heats, finishing fifth in his heat with a timing of 21.86.
On the other hand, Pakistan’s Aisha Imran could not participate in the 200 meters race of the Asian Athletics Championship.
According to sources, Aisha Imran was barred from Asian athletics after she tested positive for dope at the National Games.
Aisha Imran won the 100m race at the National Games.
Sources say that at least five athletes have tested positive for dope in the Quetta National Games.
