The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the same prize money for men’s and women’s events.
The prize money was announced during the ICC Annual Meeting in Durban.
Over-rate restrictions and fines have also been changed, the ICC says, with players being fined five per cent of the match fee.
The maximum over-rate penalty will be fifty percent of the match fee, if a team is dismissed before reaching 80 overs, there will be no over-rate penalty.
ICC Chairman Greg Barclay says this is a huge milestone.
According to the ICC, funding for member countries has also been increased, with member countries receiving core funding on a per-sport basis.
ICC also made rules for T20 leagues. The leagues will be obliged to pay a fee to the players’ home boards.
Similarly, regarding the playing XI in the leagues, the ICC also made a law according to which at least 7 local or associate players must be included in the playing XI.
