New Zealand Cricket has given a second extension to the team’s head coach Gary Stead.
In this regard, New Zealand Cricket says that the contract with Gary Stead has been extended until June 2025. His contract was supposed to end at the World Cup, which has been extended for two years.
Gary Stead was appointed as New Zealand coach for the first time in 2018.
They got the first extension in 2020 which was till the 2023 World Cup.
The New Zealand board say Gary Stead will now remain coach until the end of the World Test Championship cycle in 2025, with his appointment backed by players, support staff and association coaches.
New Zealand Test captain Tim Southee has also expressed his happiness over Gary Stead’s signing.
