A ban has been imposed on rallies and processions in the federal capital, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad has issued a notification under Section 144.
In the notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, it has been said that under Section 144, there will be a complete ban on any kind of meeting, processions in Islamabad.
According to the notification, certain sections of the society are planning to hold illegal gatherings including majlis/ processions within the limits of Islamabad.
The Deputy Commissioner’s notification further stated that keeping in view these concerns, gathering of five or more than five persons will be completely banned in Islamabad.
The notification will be valid for two months, violators will be prosecuted under Section 144.
