Sri Lanka won the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 qualifiers. Chasing 234 runs, the Netherlands team was bowled out in the 24th over, thus Sri Lanka defeated the Netherlands by 128 runs.
In the final played in Harare, the Sri Lankan team batted first and were bowled out for 233 runs in the 48th over. Sahan Archchage scored 57 runs and Kaushal Mendis scored 43 runs.
Netherlands’ Vikramajit Singh, Van Beek, Ryan Klein and Saqib Zulfiqar took two wickets each.
In pursuit of the target, the Dutch batsmen could not keep up with the Sri Lankan bowlers and the team was bowled out for 105 runs in the 24th over.
Mahesh Thakshana took four wickets, Dilshan Madushanka three wickets, both the finalist teams have already qualified for the World Cup.
