In the Indian state of Karnataka, the attempt to get a free bus ride for women wearing a burqa cost the citizen dearly.
According to local media, a video is circulating on social media in which a person dressed in a burqa can be seen sitting.
In fact, this is a video from Nabgaluru, Karnataka, where a man named Veer Bhadriya disguised himself as a woman to get free travel on a women’s bus.
He was waiting for the bus at the bus stop wearing a burqa when some people grabbed him. He told that I wear burqa to beg but no one believed him.
It was later confirmed that he wanted to take advantage of the Karnataka government’s free travel scheme for women. The woman’s Aadhaar card was also available from him.
Veerabhadraiah of Vijayapur wore a burqa for a free ride on a KSRTC bus. However, the purpose of wearing burqa is different.#Karnataka #ShaktiScheme #Congressguarantee #FreeBusTravel #ManwearingBurqa #Burqa pic.twitter.com/yWy5NvcNEH
