Lahore: The city of Lahore was submerged in water due to the heavy rain that continued since 4:00 am, and water accumulated on the main highways of the city.
The government’s claims to deal with rainwater fell flat.
Gulberg, Model Town, Garden Town, Liberty, Mall Road, Jail Road, Ferozepur Road, Defence, Walton Road and Airport Road all over Lahore including several feet of water.
After the rain, drainage problems are being seen in the low-lying areas of the city, while WASA staff also disappeared from the roads.
More than 100 mm of rain was recorded in different areas of Lahore, so far the highest rainfall was recorded in Nishtar Town with 188 mm.
Gulshan Ravi recorded 100 mm, Cordoba Chowk 94, Johar Town 90, Lakshmi Chowk 95, Mughalpura 88, Gulberg 71, Mall Road 75, Tajpura 92 and Paniwala Pond 92 mm. .
