Former Indian fast bowler Ajit Agarkar has been appointed as the Chief Selector of the Indian Cricket Board BCCI.
According to Indian media reports, the BCCI statement said that the Cricket Advisory Committee conducted interviews with the candidates.
The three-member committee unanimously nominated Ajit Agarkar as the chairman of the men’s cricket team selection committee.
Ajit Agarkar has been nominated for the post based on his cricketing career, experience as chief selector with the senior Mumbai team and coaching responsibilities of Delhi Capitals, the statement said.
The BCCI added that seniority has also been considered for their selection.
It should be noted that Ajit Agarkar played 26 Tests, 191 ODIs and 4 T20 matches for India.
