The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has withdrawn the declaration issued some time ago regarding Zaka Ashraf and Salman Naseer.
It should be noted that the announcement said that Zaka Ashraf and Salman Naseer will attend the annual meeting of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
The said meeting will be held in Durban, South Africa from July 9 to 16.
The statement said that Zaka Ashraf is a member of PCB’s Board of Governors (BOGs). Salman Naseer is the Chief Operating Officer of the Pakistan Cricket Board.
It was also stated that Pakistan Cricket Board’s representation by Zaka Ashraf and Salman Naseer in the ICC annual meeting was approved by the acting chairman of PCB Ahmed Shahzad Farooq Rana.
However, this declaration has now been withdrawn by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
It should be noted that Zaka Ashraf is a member of the governing board and a candidate for the PCB chairmanship.
Chairman PCB elections are delayed, cases are pending in provincial courts on the matter of elections.
On one hand, the Lahore High Court has ordered the elections, on the other hand, the Peshawar High Court and the Balochistan High Court have issued a ban on the elections.
