In the second Test match of the Ashes series, Australia defeated England by 43 runs after an interesting match.
On the fifth day of the second match of the 5-Test series played at the historic Lord’s Stadium, England were bowled out for 327 runs in pursuit of a target of 371 runs.
Captain Ben Stokes did a lot to help the English team win, but there was no one to support him.
Ben Stokes played an innings of 155 runs, in which he hit 9 sixes and as many fours.
Apart from them, the English team’s opener Ben Duckett also lost 82 runs.
Australia’s Mitchell Stock, Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood dismissed 3 English players each while Cameron Green took one wicket.
Steve Smith, who scored a century (110) in the first innings of the Lord’s Test and 34 runs in the second innings, was declared the man of the match.
With the Test victory, Australia took a 0-2 series lead over the English team. The third match of the series will be played at Headingley Leeds from July 6.
