Russian President Vladimir Putin visited a mosque in Dagestan after the desecration of the Holy Quran on the day of Eid al-Adha with the permission of the government in Sweden and held the Holy Quran close to his chest.
According to a foreign news agency, Vladimir Putin met with religious leaders during a visit to a mosque in the Republic of Dagestan.
Speaking on this occasion, Russian President Vladimir Putin condemned the desecration of the Holy Quran and said that desecration of the Holy Quran is a crime in Russia. If such an act was committed in Russia, it would have been punished.
According to media reports, President Vladimir Putin visited Sweden the day after the incident.
It should be noted that Pakistan, Turkey, Morocco, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates strongly condemned the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden.
