The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the official schedule of the Cricket World Cup.
The World Cup schedule was released during a special event in Mumbai, the schedule has been released on the occasion of the ICC 100-day countdown.
According to the schedule released by ICC, the World Cup will be played at 12 venues, the 10 teams involved in the World Cup will play 9, 9 matches.
The first match will be between defending champions England and New Zealand in Ahmedabad, India.
Pakistan will play their first match on October 6 against Qualifier 1 in Hyderabad Deccan while the national team’s second match will be on October 12 against Qualifier 2 in Hyderabad Deccan.
The match between Pakistan and India will be held in Ahmedabad on October 15, while the national team will take on Australia in Bengaluru on October 20.
Pakistan team will play a match against Afghanistan in Chennai on October 23 and South Africa on October 27 and Bangladesh on October 31.
Pakistan team will play the last group match against New Zealand on November 4 and England on November 12.
The first semi-final of the World Cup will be played in Mumbai on November 15, while the second semi-final will be played on November 16.
The World Cup final will be played on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
It should be noted that the trophy tour of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 scheduled in India this year started in a unique way from space.
The trophy was launched into space at a height of 120,000 feet from the ground, from where the trophy landed at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The ICC World Cup trophy will be taken to various cities in India from today while the trophy will visit Pakistan from July 31 to August 4.
