The Balochistan High Court stopped the elections of Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Chief Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Amir Nawaz have ordered to stop the election of Chairman PCB till July 17.
The Balochistan High Court has issued notices in this regard to the Prime Minister, Ministry of IPC, Zaka Ashraf, who are among the parties.
Gul Mohammad Kakar, former member of PCB Management Committee, challenged the elections in Balochistan High Court.
It should be noted that the elections for the Chairman PCB were to be held on June 27, for which the government had appointed former Chief Justice Tasadeq Hussain Jilani as an independent adjudicator.
Najam Sethi was serving as the PCB chief but he announced his withdrawal from the current elections.
On the other hand, the battle for the election of chairman PCB reached the court, the former management committee members of PCB Shakeel Sheikh and Gulzada approached the court against the governing board and chairman election.
On this, the Lahore High Court scheduled for hearing the petition filed to stop the election of the chairman.
