The International Cricket Council (ICC) ODI World Cup schedule is likely to be announced on June 27.
According to media reports, the schedule may be revealed on the occasion of the 100-day countdown of the World Cup.
The 100-day countdown to the start of the World Cup in India from October 5 will begin on June 27.
Earlier the schedule was to be released on the occasion of the final of the World Test Championship, the schedule was delayed due to objections by Pakistan over a few venues.
Pakistan had asked the ICC to change the match against Afghanistan in Chennai and the match against Australia in Bangalore.
According to the sources, Pakistan asked to change the matches in Chennai and Bangalore based on the conditions, Pakistan also asked to change the warm-up match against Afghanistan, Pakistan asked to have a warm-up match with a non-Asian team.
Apart from security reasons, strong reasons must be given for changing venues, Pakistan’s position is unlikely to be accepted on the basis of lack of strong reasons.
