Lahore: The accused who escaped to Kuwait after killing in Gujarat was arrested with the help of Interpol and handed over to Gujarat Police.
According to Express News, on the direction of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the crackdown has accelerated to arrest the fugitive advertisers abroad. The total number is 39.
According to the Punjab Police, the advertiser Yasir Imran, who escaped to Kuwait after the murder incident, has been arrested and brought back to his homeland.
A month ago, the Gujarat Police had issued a red notice for the accused Yasir Imran, on which the FIANCB Interpol Pakistan arrested the accused from Kuwait and transferred him to Lahore Airport, later he was handed over to the Gujarat Police by the FIA Immigration. Where further legal action was initiated against him.
The spokesperson of FIA has said that the extradition of the accused was possible due to the close coordination of Interpol Islamabad with Interpol Kuwait.
Meanwhile, IG Punjab Usman Anwar has congratulated the police team that arrested the dangerous advertiser and directed to continue the crackdown to arrest the absconding advertisers abroad involved in serious incidents.
