Indian media say that the International Cricket Council (ICC) has not made any changes in the proposed venues for the World Cup matches.

Indian media has said that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not provided any strong reason to the ICC, objection to pitches that support batting or bowling is not a strong reason.

It should be noted that the Pakistan Cricket Board informed the ICC about its opinion regarding the venues on Thursday.

According to the sources, PCB had raised objection on the basis of data on the venues of 2 World Cup matches.

The PCB had asked that the venue of the matches against Afghanistan in Chennai and against Australia in Bangalore should be changed, the venue against Afghanistan should be changed to Bangalore, and the venue against Australia should be changed to Chennai.

PCB’s participation in the match against India in Ahmedabad is subject to government permission, it is part of the protocol to know the opinion of ICC member countries on the World Cup schedule and venues.

A change of venue is possible on the grounds of security issues, as was the case in 2016.

It should be noted that the ICC has not yet officially announced the World Cup schedule.
