The participation of the Pakistan baseball team in the Asian Games has become a concern.
Sources say that Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) will bear the expenses of only 3 games in team events for the Asian Games.
Three sports include hockey, volleyball and kabaddi, while baseball and other team sports federations will have to bear their own expenses.
Due to the huge expenses, it became difficult for the baseball team to participate in the Asian Games.
It should be noted that the Pakistan baseball team is included in the second round of the Asian Games due to the fifth position.
Sources said the baseball federation was asked to manage the tickets for the 30-member squad itself. The federation also has to pay the squad’s 50 dollar daily allowance.
The Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) says that it has been decided to sponsor the teams that are hoping for medals.
According to the POA, the expenses of the cricket teams have always been borne by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
