Berlin: Germany has announced its first national security strategy, calling Russia a threat.
According to international media reports, Germany has declared Russia as the biggest threat to Europe in its national security declaration.
The declaration outlines the country’s foreign policy, which has prioritized security over economic interests following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Chancellor Olaf Schulz said on the occasion that this is a major change being made by us in Germany in which we are changing the strategy regarding the security policy. He said that the aim of this project is to ensure greater coordination between ministries related to security policy.
The declaration also warned of growing hostility towards China and claimed that Beijing was trying to use its economic power to achieve political goals.
