Karachi: Saudi Arabia rejected the whole world and decided to hire Pakistan to promote cricket on its soil.
According to well-informed sources, in view of the growing popularity of cricket, the Saudi Crown Prince has invited Onar Nadeem Umar of Quetta Gladiators, a well-known PSL franchise, for a consultation to promote cricket in his country.
Sources say that Nadeem Umar, who was invited on the special invitation of the Saudi government, will present suggestions to the relevant authorities for the development and promotion of the game, while in this context, a memorandum of understanding will also be signed between Quetta Gladiator and the Saudi government.
Sources also say that Nadeem Umar will form the national cricket team of Saudi Arabia with his team, while the franchise will also form the domestic cricket system of Saudi Arabia. Former Test captain Sarfraz Ahmed, who led Quetta Gladiator, and head coach and former Test captain Moin Khan will also play an important role in this project. Omar’s election has been described as a great honor for Pakistan.
It should be noted that Nadeem Umar has also been elected president of Karachi region unopposed in the elections held under PCB recently.
