The Pakistan cricket team will visit Sri Lanka under the leadership of captain Babar Azam in the next few weeks to play the 2-test series of the ICC Test Championship.
There are reports regarding the tour of Sri Lanka that Test fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi will not be a part of the national squad.
The 23-year-old left-arm fast bowler is currently in action in the T20 Blast for Nottinghamshire in England.
It may be noted that Shaheen Afridi, who has taken 99 wickets at an average of 24.86 in 25 Test matches, was injured while fielding during the tour of Sri Lanka last year.
Fast bowler Shaheen Afridi played his last Test match against Sri Lanka in July last year.
After recovering from the injury, the left-arm fast bowler made a definite return to white-ball cricket. However, he did not participate in the Test series against England and New Zealand at home.
Now there are reports that in view of the World Cup, the name of the main fast bowler in Sri Lanka’s long-term cricket competition will not be considered.
