Pakistani businessman Majid Rizvi, the owner of the popular American cricket franchise Knight Rider, is keen to include his team in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9.
Majid Rizvi said in a special conversation with Geo News that he himself has been a cricketer, has represented many clubs in Lahore, and after coming to America, he was also a part of the American cricket team.
Majid Rizvi said that UMMC Knight Rider team is the champion team of Houston Open 2022 in which Pakistani star players have also played. Many Pakistani players including Test cricketer Sohail Tanveer have also participated.
He said that talks are also going on with former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, while Usman Shinwari, Imran Jr. and Nauman Anwar are part of the team.
Majid Rizvi said that he wants to make his team Knight Rider a part of PSL. Discussions have been held with many officials of PCB in the past, but the issues could not be settled due to the change of the board.
He further said that he wants to make Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan part of his team Knight Rider in PSL. Also, if Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan want to play in the American League, consider the Knight Rider team as their home.
