Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced the new management for the Asian Champions Trophy. Coach Olympian Ayaz Mehmood and manager Saeed Khan were dismissed.
Col (retd) Umar Saber has been appointed as the team manager for the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy, Olympians Rehan Butt, Mohammad Saqlain, Dilawar Hussain and Abdul Huseem Khan have been included in the coaching panel.
Abdul Ghafoor will be the goalkeeper coach and Mohammad Shahid will be the physiotherapist, while the services of army trainer will be hired.
Along with the new management, the PHF also announced the names of 45 potential players, including the players from the Junior Asia Cup team.
The training camp will start from June 12 in Lahore, while the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy will be played in Chennai, India from August 3 to 12.
