Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee Chairman Najam Sethi has said that the Prime Minister has assigned more responsibilities.
Najam Sethi said in a conversation with Geo News after the meeting with PCB Patron-in-Chief Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif that the meeting took place in a very pleasant atmosphere.
He said that he briefed the Prime Minister on the restoration of the 2014 Cricket Constitution, the Prime Minister has given more responsibilities while expressing confidence.
Najam Sethi said that the Prime Minister wants the Pakistani cricket team to prove to be the best in every field around the world.
Chairman PCB Management Committee said that the Prime Minister has given instructions regarding providing more facilities to the players.
He said that the Prime Minister has directed to work on cricket infrastructure, provide job opportunities to the players.
He said that the Prime Minister has directed to strengthen the departmental cricket structure and said that the PCB should facilitate all the departments.
Najam Sethi said that the Prime Minister said that more and more players should be recruited and given opportunities to play.
He said that he also briefed the Prime Minister about the international teams, and also took the Prime Minister into confidence about the Asia Cup and the World Cup.
He said that Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal were also present in the meeting.
