Canada’s federal minister for immigration, Sean Fraser, has said that steps are being taken to speed up all the stages of obtaining a Canadian visa for Pakistani citizens.
In an exclusive conversation with Representative Jang, Sean Fraser said that the capacity to review applications in Islamabad is being increased and the visa processing time is fully implemented in 60 days.
Sean Fraser said that currently the visa processing period on the Canadian Immigration official website, i.e. more than 800 days, does not apply to new applicants, it is the period of old pending applications.
The Canadian minister said that the website will be updated as soon as the old applications are disposed of.
He said that we will also fulfill our promise of 30 days by reducing the 60 days.
