Minister of State for Finance Ayesha Ghos Pasha termed International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission chief Nathan Porter’s statement as interference in Pakistan’s internal affairs.
Talking to the media in Islamabad, Ayesha Ghos Pasha has said that Pakistan is running according to the law.
He said that the statement of the IMF Mission Chief is unusual, interference in the internal affairs of Pakistan is not the mandate of the IMF.
Ayesha Ghos Pasha says that the delay in the loan program is not in the interest of both Pakistan and IMF. The Prime Minister has assured MDIMF to implement the conditions and complete the program.
The Minister of State for Finance said that it is hoped that the staff level agreement will be reached before the new budget, on June 30, the IMF program will end.
He says that if the deal with the IMF is not reached, the Ministry of Finance is not sitting with its eyes closed, Plan B is always there, our priority is the IMF program, the budget of the new fiscal year will be an election air budget.
