In Pind Dadan Khan area of Jhelum, a rash disease called kala-azar spread after the attack of sand flies.
According to the Punjab Health Department, 46 suspected persons have shown symptoms of the disease while spraying to kill flies has been started.
The Health Department said that 16 people are under treatment in Benazir Hospital Rawalpindi while 30 are under treatment in District Hospital Jhelum.
According to the sources, the Punjab Health Department does not have the medicines for Kala Azar.
